imho easiest way to build a cage would be to just find an old bit of furniture, turn it on its back. seal the gaps with silicone or that other stuff then paint the inside with a few lairs of exterior paint. unless you have like a cat or something that may eat the beardie you can leave it open top or install a simply hidged lid using some wood and chicken wire. you could easily hook up a couple of hanging lights and have an oz bright for daytime basking and infared basking spot light for the night.
pros of that setup are excellent ventilation, you could easily sit a floro light/heat lamp right ontop of the mesh and move it around easily. ease of cleaning just look down and scoop out where needed. also fairly easy and cheap to make.
cons take up a bit of space and not stackable

I just have a whole stack of fish tanks with a UV light in a holder on top, and a lamp holder from Bunnings clipped onto the side with the lamp positioned low. (don't have any pics yet)
