Yes, and it can have serious effects on thier health, including early death.

My new lill snake had eaten yesterday, although I put a thawed pinkie (pinkie = baby mouse?) in his tank and he ate that, still seemingly hungry I gave him another one. Now, I thought that if they werent hungry they wouldnt eat? I thought because he is a growing young man, he'd eat more than normal? Should I feed him every second day even if he does seem hungry?

Every 2 days is way too often (except maybe for a water python but I don't know much about that), I've heard that every 5 days is alright but some say once a week is still too often, there is a bit of debate over this issue and other threads you can look up. Do a search for over or power feeding.
Maybe increase the meal size, give it bigger mice or 2 or 3 at a time but it needs at least a few days to digest before you feed it again.

I'd recommend feeding your snake 1-2 mice every 5-10 days.

Better to underfeed than overfeed!
Btw most snakes and pythons would keep eating if allowed to, so don't take their willingness to eat as a sign of how often you should feed. I notice mine start getting more active and moving around their enclosure more when they are really hungry.
