I bought a new coastal carpet python about 6 weeks ago and was told it was eating mice regularly but I haven’t got it to eat yet, do you guys think this is a problem or is it normal or maybe is it just taking its time settling or something? I haven’t been handling it seeing as it’s not eating and have been feeding it thawed mice.

try a live one, then try day old chickens (chicks) frozen and thawed to 30 degrees

It is quite normal for them to go off their food when their surrounds have changed. But another factor could be temperature. If they aren't warm enough they won't eat. How do you thaw the mice? In hot water is a popular method. if he isn't taking it from your hands try leave it in his enclosure but be sure to remove it next morning if its still there.

Dont try a live one, if its already eating on defrosted mice.
Are you constantly handling it?

keeping it in there overnight may attract ants, try upping the temp... maybe even leave the heat on overnight, then try feeding it a couple of days after the heat has been upped.
