Our female carpet python is off her food. We feed them once a fortnight a large rat each Last weekend was feeding time Male ate his rat within mins Female who is normally the more aggressive eater left her rat. I wondered if she had eaten an escaped GTF. So last night attempted to feed her again but rat left untouched!!
There has been no change in routine or stock she doesn’t appear to be shedding She is still keen to come out of her enclosure and cruise around. I have checked her for any skin abrasions etc.
Has anyone got any suggestions I have attached photos if this helps ????

She's probably just fasting. If they are fed desent sized meals for a certain length of time without any long breaks (longer than 2 weeks) then eventually they will refuse food for a while and all you can do is wait for them to start up again. I wouldnt bother pestering her with food to try to convince her to eat. I would just leave her be and offer food in another 6-8 weeks. If there's no signs of illness and she's behaving normally then i'd say she's fine and will eat when she wants to.

Donki | Oh dear we are not quite ready for that lol Hadnt really concidered that as a possibility When they out together they seemed to ignore each other We better start looking into how we are going to care for new additions to the family.

last year i had a female brissie that did not seem to be interested in a rat at all, she just crawled away into her box. we offered the male brissie a rat, and he took it down with no problems. 2 days later me and my brother went to take the snakes out for some u.v out in the sun. she was in her box with 14 eggs. we thought she didnt eat because she was gravid. i hope this helps brentf.

Have you ruled out Mites?? Can mites stop a snake from eating??
You can always send the babies to me if she is gravid... I'll have them...LOL... Just kidding

They both spend lots of time in their water We were concerned about that when we first got them and from the great advice we got of this thread took them to a vet just in case it was mites. It wasnt but we got to meet a good vet Just in case and he just loves our snakes so thats great.
Its just one of their many little habits they have.Which now we are used to.lol
