Compact Max Pack 10.0. It's finally here! Emits 10% UVB at 30cm without reflector. The solution to your UV needs in a compact fluorescent! But the Compact Max Pack is even more! The Compact Max pack comes with a compact UV fluorescent and a reflector shield! This reflector concentrates and directs the UV down thus doubling the output of UV given off by the compact! These units screw into an ES fitting so cutting down the size requirement that a normal UV tube needs. The UVA and UVB output of these globes is beneficial by increasing appetite and activity, aids in the treatment and prevention of metabolic bone disorder and increases overall general health. These compacts are also full spectrum. The Compact Max Pack comes with either a 5.0 or a 10.0 compact fluorescent and replacements are available.

I personally use the UV10 Compact fluoros. Just make sure you dont have them on for more than 12hrs a day

Just my 2 cents worth. I use a MVB (Mercury Vapour Bulb) that I imported from the United States. It's called a Megaray, and as far as MVB's are concerned it is one of the best, if not the best source of UVA/UVB around. Debateable of course. Check out www.reptileuv.com for more info. Mine is a 100 watter self ballasted. They also come in external ballasted as well.
And for more in-depth research on ultraviolet, lighting, and health check out www.reptileuvinfo.com
Hope this helps.....
Cheers.
