Hi there
Last night i suprisingly discovered eggs in my cage. They were white in colour, but most of them werent perfectly oval shaped, all eggs had like dints in them. Is this ok? Are the eggs still fine or should they be disgarded.
There were a total of 12, i removed all of them (carefull not to roll them over). and place them in a container full of soil, with only a bit of soil covering the eggs. that container was then floated in another bucket with controlled water at around 28 celciues. Both containers have lids on them and i ocasily open them to get the condensation of them. I notice 1 egg in particular, which was perfectly oval to begin with, after a day it had a dint in it?
Are the dints in the eggs fine?
Is my incubation mehtod ok?
could my eggs be infertile? (1 egg was accidentally stood on by the lizard and all liquid squirted out)
how do i determine which eggs are bad and which eggs are good?
Any tips for breeding central bearded dragons.
if an egg rolls over would this straight away mean its no good anymore?
thanks spitso

The dints were probably caused by the soil/sand they were laid in being too dry. How damp is the soil they are in now? It should be damp, but not wet.

Yes, the place were the eggs were first laid was very dry. And the place they are in now are still a bit dry.
Should i carefully dampen the soil with a watet spray botlle?

The best idea would be to go out and buy some vermiculite. Mix it with 50/50 with water measured by weight (not volume) i.e. 200g water + 200g vermiculite, and move the eggs from the dirt mix into the vermiculite mix.
You're eggs are probably fertile (i'm presuming you have a male and a female). So just let them be, try not to disturb them too much.
If an egg rolls over it can kill it, that's not to say it is guaranteed though.
My advice to you would be to google "bearded dragon egg incubation". There will be plenty of info on the net. You are likely to get more eggs soon too, so if all doesn't go well with these ones you will probably have another shot at it soon enough.
