Last night my infrared globe blew in one of my snakes enclosures.
so this morning i replaced it with a spare ceramic i had sitting around...... after about 30 seconds it started to smell..... like a burning sort of smell.....
so after 5-10 minutes it had not gone away so i pulled it out and put in a 100w clear normal globe temporarily for today so i can go out and buy a new infrared one this afternoon....
is this normal? if not any ideas what went wrong?
