I am soon to be the owner of a hatchling childrens python and im just getting the tank ready i have newspaper as a substrate and a little fake rock hide thingy and a heat mat as well as a light on the top, i am just wonderign if this will do and if any one who has a childrens python would please post a picture of their tanks i would be greatfull.

water bowl in necessary aswell. make sure that the hide is small enough for him/her to feel secure. other than that what you have described sounds fine. What temps are you keeping the tank at?

Hatchling children....about the size of a worm.......click clack container, half off and half on heatmat...kitchen paper, light globe box with hole in the side and small water bowl.
That is all you need.

Temp on the hot end should be 32 otherwise your baby wont eat and if it does it will have trouble digesting its food. Please dont go any lower with the temp or you will have problems.
