Childrens Python

I was thinking of getting a snake ive read up on the Childrens Python.
Any suggestions or tips for this species? Are they category 1 licence?

They are an excellent small snake for beginners. I personally like the stimsoni best in the children's family.

A good book for a beginner is "Keeping Children's Pythons" It covers feeding, enclosures, heating, lighting and other keeping information.

These two books will give you the majority of information you require for many years to come. I actually read Weigel's book 15 odd years ago. 1st ed, whenever that was (book's at home)

I just got a Stimson on friday, he's really great
I also reccomend reading "Keeping Childrens Pythons", I have a copy and it is really helpful, covers everything you need to know!

Maccies are the best of the 3 antaresia sp imo - never met a nasty mac yet!
