welcome
u need a enclosure, but one thats not too big or you will stress the snake out. usualy when u buy a baby they are small. like 20cm or so. u need heating, uv light, a couple of hides, one in a warm spot and one in the cool spot, water dish, and some branches for it to climb on. have a look throught this site, lots of advice is on here.

Depending on the size python and age, you can get away with using a click clack. They come in all sizes now and can be purcchased clear. They are inexpensive, and with minor modifications - i.e. drilling air vents, ensuring seals, you can keep costs down

Hi,

On eBay you can get the enclosure that would suit the snake you need |

If you are looking at buying a hatchie I would save your money on either buying or building an enclosure. You could do with a heat matt, thermostat and click clack temporarily.
Your snake will be fine in this and it will give you time to find a cheap enclosure or make one. A hatchie childreni can stay in the click clack for months and months.

Thanks. | The heat mat goes under neath and a thermostat is needed to control the temp. Click clacks are as you say the containers with clip on lids. "Click Clacks" is an actual brand but anything with clamp down lids would do the job.
A lot of people say that a large enclosure would freak a hatchy out. I believe this to be the case if there are nor enough hides for the hatchie to explore and hide in.
Think about this. In the wild it is big place and hatchies like to explore. As long as they have a few hides they should feel secure.
It all depends ultimately on what you can afford.
Where are you located? I'm going to have quite a few enclosures for sale soon, as well as tanks and stands etc.
