I am sure this qustion has been asked hundreds of times before
but here goes again I am looking to get my Class 2 Reptile Keepers Licence
the problem I have is that you need 2 written references off qualified people who can attest to your ability ??? is there any one who lives around the central coast that people no of who help with this kind of thing ??? . any help would be most app  |

It asks what experience you have with the species you are wanting to keep. With pythons its 2 years experience. Look on the NPWS website, all the info is there! |  | Regular Member | Join Date: Dec-07 Location: Central Coast Gender:  | | | | I really wanted to get a red - bellied Black Snake but by the looks of it I have to have my class 2 for a year and then I can apply again for a advanced category 1 thats when I nend the references they make it a very long process I understand why though you wouldnt want some one that diddnt no what they were doing having a venomous one its a kick in the pants for me though I have had my licence for over five years I am only getting into the Elapids now they will be worth the wait |

My interpretation was that one would need the references to validate the 2 years 'experience' with restricted pythons. Again, most likely different here in the Deep North, but never hurts to check.
