I think general rule of thumb is the length of the snake should be twice the length of the enclosure/click clack Someone correct me if wrong?? |

Cheap enclosures for an animal that will only need it for a short period during its growth.
only way to go... so easy to clean.
And snakes dont give a "rats" if they live in a tub or a wooden box.

If you have a 100 + hatchies yes they keep them in tubs - but we aren't going on how breeders keep hatchies tell they sell them - it is how me and anyone who wants to watch and see there snake as you should - not in a plastic tub.

also uses plastic tubs for young reptiles.
If viewing is so important to someone, you can cut a section out and glue a $2 glass photo frame
to the outiside of the tub.
Ive seen this used for adult geckos and adders with great results, cheap and the animals are fine
its all good, doesnt look half bad either.... hell, i think ill make some soon

I enjoy my animals whether they are in click clacks( as hatchies to yearlings) or enclosures as sub adults/adults. I have seen many idiots with the same view you seem to have and go right ahead and chuck there new addition in an enclosure to find the animal so stressed it stopped feeding and thermo-regulating, and yes they had hides etc etc. So they "enjoyed" there animals so much that most died or escaped[/quote]
lol yeah, i was told it was fine to keep hatchies in big enclousures providing lots of hides etc.. and i figured well in the wild.. lol
got my stimi home and after about a week i had her in a click clack...
was hard as hell to control temps
never even saw her in the big enclousure anyway...
i love tubs now... so much easier to control temps and ive grown a custom to there looks aswell
just speaking from my own experience.... in no way am i saying whats right or wrong..
