| | | Common boa constrictor help
i have owned my common boa for about 10 months now he is roughly a year old and have handled him regually for the past ten months apart from after feeding and during shedding. he has just shed two days ago and is very nervous and does not want to come out. he is fed once a fornight on weaner rats and is due this week. does anybody know why he would be like that? all help shall be greatl appreciated

Try Moreliaman mate, he is in the UK so he is close by. Even if you are both at opposite ends of the joint you are still close by.

Sounds to me like he could be scared of something, maybe something you have done accidently, maybe enviromental noise/vibrations, such as load music, small child banging on glass doors etc.
Could be a predator ie. Cat or dog coming upto the glass.
I wouldn't be too concerned, I would give it a few days without distubing it(Peace and quiet), and try feeding again.
Just be mindful of your enviroment, in case it is something that is perminantly stressing the snake out.
