Last year I had mice and they seem to thrive in the winter getting quite a few litters out of them, but this year it has all turned to *******..

Have you done an autopsy on them? Check for organs that dont look right and see if something is stuck in gut(im not a vet but these things sound realistic to me to look for).
Are they just dead or do they have fluids exiting any holes?

| | | | RE: dead rats Are they all together? If they are in a big bunch they can cope with very cold temps (they keep each other warm). If they're in 1s, 2s & 3,s, they can get very cold and die. Any sounds of respiratory infections etc? And what food are you using - it may help to give them something oily & warming such as sunflower seed as a supplement during the very cold weather.
Good luck,
Jamie. | | |
