.

There was a thread recently on this i think. Some people suggested orange powder... I usually use household stuff like diluted vinegar/eucalytus oil/lemon juice, then rinse well afterwards with water and a clean rag/paper. You could also use a diluted bleach solution. But whatever you decide on, give it a good wiping off with a clean wet towel after so as not to leave any harmful residues.

Diluted bleach 10%
There is NO WAY I would be putting eucalyptus oil anywhere near reptiles.

I use repticlean and It is a bit costly if not any disinfectant but always wipe it out as said by others.I have never thought of eucaltptus oil,There is probably a good reason for that.Sorry but I never thought of bleach either and now I see two people using it.Just never crossed my mind. Each to there own as long as it is wiped out completly no matter what you use.

Ramsayi is right - eucalyptus oil and tea tree oils are very toxic to reptiles. Don't use them at all for cage cleaning.

I first purchased Repti-clean for the enclosures (mainly for the pretty bottle lol) now I just fill the bottle with diluted bleach or disinfectant. Also bought Repti-hand for the same reason (pretty bottle) which I now fill with a detol hand wash.

Diluted bleach has been used to clean reptile enclosures for millions of years .Long before products like repticlean etc were invented

thinners once every 6 months... dont worry there is no reps anywhere near the enclosures for the day. once you put the heat back on it clears quickly. other than that its good old window cleaner

I use Chlorhexidine, Aviclean(?), bleach. Im looking at F10. Ive been reluctant to use it but it wasnt for any rational reason. I to use Orange Medic.
I would like to do a things similar to the rat food. Order it in bulk and divide it up.

I use F10 at home for all my enclosures. I know many vets and zoo's also use the product.
