Hi there all,
as some of you may know i have been suspecting my female stimson is gravid.
well that is all confirmed for sure today.
she has a nice nest with moss, and i find her this morning at the top of her log, laying eggs, which fall to the ground.
to say i am upset is a bit of an understatement... but hey.
anyways, she had laid 3 and my missus saw the 4th fall. i have put the eggs into her nest, convinced her to get in there. she was pretty good, more jump than normal, but didnt snap at me.
i have moved her nest and her into the incubator so she cant climb. i am hopings she has more eggs.
is there any chance the ones that fell may live? they fell as soon as they were laid - while soft - about 30cm to maring carpet.
how long will she lay for?
if i have upset her by moving her will she stop laying for a while?
Cheers
Stew

As long as the eggs hadn't ruptured you'd expect that they should still be ok Stew.
Cheers, Greg.

Not so much wrong as unusual Stew.
Keep an eye on her mate.

One of mine layed from her branch about 5 years ago and they turned out to be infertile but she layed well outside the normal laying season.
There is no harm in trying to incubate them and see what happens.

Just make sure the female has enough oxygen while she's in the incubator.

Is it common for them to lay up high on a branch like that? (i've never heard of that before)
