i was wondering if one adult beardie could comfortably live in a 900x450x600 enclosure, because i was going to get to pygmy bearded dragons, but have read that they cant be housed together.
Also, when i get the hatchies/hatchy , ill be keeping them in a small fish tank for the first 6months-to-a-year. Is this ok???
Oh, and with the glass tank, how do i use a globe without a fitting??? i.e. is there a globe that you can just plug straight into a powerboard???

You can also get exo terra ones that have a shade around them so you can sit them ontop of meshing and it makes the light more direct. Hope that helps. |

Not sure about keeping them in a fishtank... how small? They do grow pretty quickly in their first year! As for fitting a globe, you can make a mesh lid for the fishtank and wire the globe into that.

I have a 40w repti-glo uvb tube and a 100w spot bulb from coles to provide a hot spot for basking. It is a very simple set up and you should have no problems doing something simular with your tank. I'm getting a bank of 2 enclosures from Parkers Enclosures measuring 900Lx1000Hx600D and my spotted python will go in the bottom.
so ive decided to get 1 pygmy bearded dragon, just because of the enclosure size, because ive been visiting bearded dragon forums and they all say 4x2x2 feet minimum.
Can 1 adult pygmy bearded dragon(henrylawsoni) live comfortably in the top part of the 900x1000x600 2 bank enclosure???
also, can anyone who owns pygmy's describe their personalities and show me pics of their enlosures please???
Thanks |

Who told you that 4 x 2 x 2 is the minimum? If it was the American forums, I'd ignore them They tend to be a bit over-paranoid about pretty much everything.
