Escaped Snake and Rats

Just wondering if anyone has any tips as my snake escaped 2 weeks ago and I have pet Rats. He's a little to small to eat them now, but in a couple of months time, if we still haven't found him, he might. Any ideas on keeping them safe??

i agree you will probably find your snake near your rats

also look around the back of your enclosure 9 times out of 10 when one of my youngens goes walk about i find them at the back of the enclosure

not once has one of mine left the room that the enclosures are in

although it helps that the room they are in is always warm and the hallway out side is always cooler.

also if it hasnt eaten in a few weeks get some rats or mice the size it was eating and put them around the house you will soon find which room it is in.

another tip is get some talcum powder and put that at the door ways you will tell if it is cruzing around

hope ya find it befor it finds ya rats as if it gets in with them adult rats can do alot of damage to a young snake

cheerz

When my snake escaped, I just followed what appeared to be the most direct route from his enclosure to shelter, and thats where he was.

Hot spots are a escapee's best friend. Look inside of Refrigerators, and next to the dryer. Anything dark, and warm, there he/she will probably be. I've found both of my escaped convicts behind opened doors (between the hinge, and the wall...that little V shaped area!) Hope you find him/her!!

I've checked absolutely everywhere, every gap, every hole, literally everywhere.
Just wondering how to keep him(rocco)/the rats out of harms way as my rats would prob make a mess of him at this stage.
We're going to put some food out tonight for him so heres hoping he turns up.
Thanks for the advice people!
