So I walked into my room and saw my snake drinking. Then I go back in ten minutes later; same position, still drinking. I shrug and leave. About 15 minutes after that I go back in, exact same position and still drinking. Is this a problem or am I worrying over nothing? Thanks.

Guys I'm worried about my snake. Can you stop being so insensitive and let me know if this is normal or if I should be concerned?

Unless your entering as soon as he gets to his bowl, but usually theyll have one drink and it will last them a fair while. And that could just be it, not completely sure, but he could just be havin a big drink to last him a while. Im not certain but i dont think it would be much to lose sleep over. Also most snakes could be doin that all the time, because I hardly see my snakes or any others even drinkin, so mine could be doin exactly the same but i just dont know it....good luck

Maybe it was just sitting there and not drinking as such?

is he constantly drinking or just at his water? have you observed him drinking for that whole time or just assuming he is?

but you said you came back ten minutes later... i personally wouldn't worry if all he is doing is drinking, so long as he's not soaking in it for long periods or otherwise looks unwell. for your own peace of mind just observe him over the next few days, but he probably won't do it until he's thirsty again.

also if ya think about it, snakes dont make regular trips to a waterhole or river to drink like most mammals would. So like I said, it could just be something thats natural to the snake, and hes gettin his fill incase it doesnt rain anytime soon...hyperthetically speakin
