Feeding

I have a 3.5 ft coastal and everyone i talk to owners, where i buy my food say different things about feeding.
Do i feed rats or mice. ive been told to always feed rats as they provide more calcium.
so they dont get small head big bodies.
Do i feed one item or let her feed on multiples?
I keep hearing different opinions.
Any help would be appreciated.

1 small to medium rat every 7-10 days would be fine. The rat should be as thick as the thickest part of the snake.

For larger species, rats are better simply because rats are bigger than mice. So you can feed one large rat instead of multiple mice.
