feeding dragons?

I have found feeding my water dragons live food annoying because the food just runs/jumps absolutely everywhere. I was wondering if there is anything i can do t o prevent this from happening during feeding time. What is everyones secret?

One lazy way I feed mine sometimes is to just put the dragon in the food container instead of the other way around. This will only work with a big tub though, not a chinese-food container of crickets.

For my beardie bubs i would teflon a 1 inch strip along the sides so the roaches couldnt escape(teflon above what the dragons could reach).
I also had a ........a...............thing.............(see photo) that you put the roaches in and they exit the hole one by one and get munched on.
I also sometimes just let a few roaches in and watied till they got munched and then a few more and so on.

I agree with this. Putting them in the fridge for about 10 minutes slows them down, and won't hurt the other bugs that aren't getting fed just yet.

You can get stainless steel bowls with cuved sides that prevents crickets from getting out of the dish.

Fridge for 5-10mins is the easiest way - if you are feeding roaches then they can withstand a lot more cold and survive when warmed up, crickets are a little more sensitive...easy way with crickets is to squeeze a back leg as you put them in, it will drop off...
