leave him in the tub for about 10 to 20 min so he can digest alitle and get out of feed mode then put him straight back in his enclosure for a couple of days so he can curl up in his heat spot and digest. onc he has digested an is moving around again then you can handle again. hope this helps

just a tip, if you want to feed him out of his enclosure then i recomend you get a foam box and air it out and use that, as a bath tub can be quite cold.

You beat me Mrs Mac, I was going to say the same. They usually like to be reasonably warm to eat as they need the heat to digest. Plus if you're going to leave him there a while to let the meal settle like she suggested, you will want a LID to put on him.

Yeah i cant imagine being taken from a warm enclosure and stuck into a cold bath is going to be all that nice for the snake , especially when feeding .
I would get another container for feeding .

I bought one of those big plastic boxes you can get from most discount stores. I also take my pythons out in the sun for a bit before they feed to heat them up and get them active.

don't feed it in the bath tub, get yourself a cardboard box if you have nothing else,

Just an ordinary garbage bin with a lid work a treat to feed them in - also good for putting them in while cleaning out the enclosure.

Shoe boxes work a treat for the smaller snakes, otherwise I use the plastic tubs with lid that can be bought from just about anywhere. They also double as holding containers during cleaning time.

Since (i'm guessing) you havent had the snake long, i think it would be better for the snake to feed it in it's tub (familiar environment) by leaving a dead rodent with it overnight. I think you'll get more positive results this way.

If you do feed in the bath, dont forget to use the plug!
