Junglerob. lucky bugger!!!!!, wish i had acsess to deer ration from sunridge again. I even looked into getting some shipped up but the cost to send it up was way more than the food.
it really is the ducks nuts for rats and mice. especially since no other food is nesecary. |

And I give them 'pellets' as a supplement- they get a few each night. I use them to train them to do stuff- lots of fun
They're darn spoiled!

| | | | % salt - in the 2 brands I've used - Barastoc is 0.5% I think, and Riverina Stockfeeds is 1%. They all seem to make the rats & mice drink copious amounts of water, but supplementing with a bit of whole maize seems to reduce the thirst, and the smell. The rodents actually can't "build up" salt in their systems, if they do their kidneys aren't working and they die very quickly, but if they have a highish level of salt in their diet, they do need lots of water to flush it out, thus they piddle a lot, then they smell...
