When is the best time of the day to feed a BHP?
I know they are a nocturnal snake so is in the evening good?
I usually switch the heat lamps off during the night and worried if I feed in evening it maybe a bit cold to digest.
Or should I leave the heat lamps on during the night of a feeding?

How old is the BHP?
I generally have the heat on 24/7 unless I'm cooling down for breeding purposes.
I feed my snakes in the evening when they're most active - They're in a routine, it's almost like they know what day they're going to be fed as they're always a little on edge on that day lol.

1.5years old.
I've only just got him and the guy we got him off (has a number of snakes and a lot of experience) said that he switches his heaters off during the night to give them a more realistic temperature.

I haven't observed any feeding or digestion problems associated with having no heating at night for the desert dwelling species I keep. (Bredli and BHP). So long as your warm end temperatures reach around 34 degrees C for most of the day. The main point to remember is that they may go off their food during the cool months of the year if no night heating is provided. As far as when is the best time to feed, when ever you can get around day or night!
