fighting/injured beardies

G'day All.Whislt I was out today 1of my juvenile beardies attacked another pretty bad.Tore a pretty big gash in her head so my house mate took her to the vet for me but they were closed so she took her to the rspca who gave her a antiseptic bath & some antibotics (with hefty bill that i was happy enough to pay to keep her healthy).Im pretty new to keeping reptiles & this is the first sign any of my beardies have any aggresion.I have limited space & alternate housing so I have stuck the injured beardie in a smaller tank inside the same enclosure & was wondering if anyone could help with advice to help a speedy recovery as the rspca wern't to familiar with reptile care.Any help would be appreciated.Cheers.

up the temps, more food, and put the bully in the smaller tank, the more a beardies sheds when injured the faster it heals IMO

Put a piece of paper/towel around one of the enclosures so they cant see eachother, will lower the stress in the sick animal and speed up recovery

Yeah good advice from spike.
It heals the same rate shed or not, but when it does shed is when you can notice the difference.

As far as the little beardie goes get him to a suitable vet asap, if you said where you live someone on this forum could probably point you in the right direction. Its hard to tell the nature of the injury from a such short typed description.

Im suprised the rspca had the hide to charge you to treat a native animal when they are happy to sell cats to bad owners at low cost (well to be honest would expect that, they are really scum)
RSPCA = __________ ......
well i cant say what it means to me,

yeah there arnt too many feral reptiles in australia, why would it be in their interest?

just incase you didnt notice i love the rspca :roll:
.... for all creatures feral and destructive.

Thanks for everyones advice & sorry I've tacken awile to reply.I got home from work today & whilst she seemed better she was pretty cold to touch due to being at the cooler end of the 4ft tank with out the higher basking temperatures (its only about 28-29 degrees at that end) so I have taken the 1ft tank she was in out of the 4ft and sat it on top with and rigged up a 60w globe which now sitting around 37 degrees.The beardies obviously cant see each other now.As for the size's the injured one is about 20cm possibley 1 or 2cm less from head to the tail tip as for the bigger one its about 25cm with a much lager body.The subsrate in the 4ft I recently swapped to sand from astro turf and the 1ft has a new pice of astro turf.The person I bourght the beardies off recommend bathing in diluted betadine (which I have done) and getting some F10SC ointment from vet or direct from distibuter but that may take me a day or two to track down.It looks as though she may of ate some salad due to the mess when i got home but she didn't seem to interested in the roaches this arvo possibly due to not being warm enough but Im not sure.I live in St Kilda if anyone dose now a good reptile vet around melbourne area.Any other suggestions & comments would be appreciated.
