Five Pythons found in Chimney - Advise needed re release?

Hi all, just had a call from our local snake catcher in Loxton. She got a call out to a house being demolished over there. The guy thought it was one huge Murray Darling Python, but when Cathy got up there she found there was five of them. What she would like to know is whether she should release them all in the same area, or should she spread them out? Cheers Cheryl

I suggest letting them go all together, in the same area as thats where they seem to have originated. they will then go their seperate ways

Well, just wondering, that seeing they've been living in the ceiling/chimney of this old house, they would probably have a good source of birds as food?? If they were all released in the same area would there be enough food for them all? Or would they just sort it out for themselves? Nice to hear that they are breeding up in the Riverland area eh? Cheers

LOL!

I would think if they can't find enough food if they are all released together in the same area then they will simply move on to another area where they do find food.

Yes Green Willow, they were all balled up together in the chimney of the house that was getting demolished. The demo guy thought it was only one huge python before Cathy the snake catcher came, and so did she till she got the first one out.
