Well, you shouldn't be holding him 2 days after a feed, you should wait a good 5 days. He could be a bit terrotorial or he is stressed from being in a big enclosure, if he is in one. He is still a bit young for a enclosure, and he may just be defending himself, mabye he thinks you a threat and he wants to stand his ground.

your pretty well right yeah you shouldn't handle them after a feed they will get pretty feisty if he is biting in and out of the enclosure move him into a smaller enclosure if he already isn't in one then move him to a place where it is dark and quiet then leave him for awhile and try and get a snake hook if you dont have one already

and ive herd on one other thread if you have a rag with your scent on it put it in with him so he can familiarize himself of your scent and something else someone did was put metho on a pair of dish washing gloves and let it dry he will soon not like the taste but ive never had to do any of those things so dont hold me to it

In a word PATIENCE most snakes settle with maturity, make sure your temps are right and
try not to over handle the snake, only for feeding and cleaning and see if it starts to settle.

Ive used a welding glove in the past and it worked quite well the worst part is having to handle them every night for at least 3 weeks just to get them used to being touched. Now they strike some times but dont even open there mouths because they think if they bite it wont even phase me. I'am experienced with pythons like your self and you will know that every python is different i've had pythons ive left settle for months and found that there still bitey and always made sure there conditions were perfect. but the glove has not failed me yet so its worth a try.

I'd go with trying a snake hook, less obtrusive than a big scary hand and he's not going to pick up on your body heat. Good luck

handle it with a hook its not venomous its a coastal Mcboob. use a glove so it gets used to the shape and the touch.

We own 2 coastals and use a hook to get them both out of their enclosures......worked for calming them down and haven't been bitten in years

I don't mean to sound stupid or nasty but reptiles arn't puppies or kitties they are not a domesticated animal so some are bound to bite no matter what. after a while most will stop biting constantly but will bite when they see movement in front of them. also look at domestic pets each has its own temprament from the day it is born. (i know as my kids call me "GRUMPY" cause i bite!!)
