heat cord question

hi all,
just wondering if a 25 watt heat cord woud get hot enough to heat a ceramic tile if the heat cord is underneath the tile. I am planning to route a few grooves in some wood and then lay in the heat cord then lay some tiles over the heat cord. do u think a 25 watt cord would do the job?? cheers

mines only a 25 watt and it gets bloody hot so id say yes

probably best just to give it a test run somewhere with no animals and see how hot it gets.... you dont wanna burn the animal. let it run for a day or so and see how hot it gets

I run a 8 watt heat pad under three tiles and it still can on occassions heat the top the top tile to 35c

wow only 8 watt.....ok so i think maybe 25 may be too much for a hatchy rack thanks guys..anyone else run a similar set up?? ie heat cord under tiles??
