Hello can anyone please help with my diamond python , what is the correct way , how long, how cold , how old should she be when first hibernated and will she be o.k to hibernete in her enclosure,or does she need a seperate area?
I read on another site a man hibernates his diamonds in a foam box on the garage floor what does everbody think of this as I am very new to snakes, any info would be great.....
The size of the enclosure is 4ft long x 2ft high and deep with timber top and sides and a glass front, heat lamps at one end and a cool hidey spot at the other end.
I live in south east melbourne.
I was thinking winter time would be a good time to hibernate (I dont know the correct term but you know what i mean) as it get cold in winter.
What does everybody think?
