do you have a set up with open water, with some vegetation at or over the surface for them to cling to?

This year has been far from ideal weather, needed those hot nights with rain, they never came, just cool days, cold nights. cold rain, no night herping . Last year and the year before, I bred them early feb.

It seems there is quite a science to breeding frogs. Apparently breeding red eyes is similar to breeding green trees, though red eyes require more spraying. So here is a fact sheet on breeding GTFs:

Hope it helps

Champagne, or leg opener as it's known, works for other species

Beware red eyes can lay a lot of eggs. A woman I know had 1300 eggs hatch and ended up with over 900 morphs and its a lot of hard work trust me there were a couple of us helping her. Lots and lots of cleaning and feeding.

frogs are good healers, if its a small wound it will heal fine as long as the frog is functional and can hunt / feed OK, if not, it will have to be kept in captivity untill it can.
