Herp purchasing etiquette

Well... atm i am waiting on my licence to arrive and currently am looking at a nearly yearling MD. The gentleman that I spoke to is holding the snake for me and not advertising. As of today I have not seen any photos as she is about to shed (she went milky 2 thursdays ago).
Here is my dilemma
I was casually browsing the URS site and was blown away by one of the male costals! He is just stunning. For anyone who wants to see the pic I am posting the link because i didn't want to use URS's photos.
He is the first costal on the right-hand side under the cosatl section...
please tell me what you think...

so what do I do...???What is the polite thing to do??
Thanks a heap guys

The polite thing to do is keep your promise. However, the best thing to do i guess would be to buy the snake you like most so..?

RE: Herp purchasing etiquette

since u have not seen the pics of the md and its eyes went couldy 2 weeks ago! it should have shed by now, so the polite thing to do on his behalf would be to give you pictures ASAP!

since this hasnt happened, and you have not said u will definately buy it i would go and have a look at the MD in person anyway, then make your decision! who knows you might love the MD more than the coastal??

at the end of the day, get the snake that YOU like the best! no point in getting something you might regret later just to be nice to someone....

Thanks MrBredili... you confused me more
When I originally spoke to the MD man I checked that just because he was holding I didn't have an obligation to buy and he assured me I didnt... but then again I dont want to do something nasty and I DEFINATLY dont want to be black listed coz I plan on expanding my collection in years to come

RE: Herp purchasing etiquette

If it was me I would like to be told ASAP, even if your not under obligation by both parties it would be the polite thing to let them know. But that's me.

RE: Herp purchasing etiquette

If you are moving to the 'other side', and by that, I assume you mean WA, as the majority of us here are east coast and you are shopping at URS, why are you getting a snake at all?

You can't take it with you. Why not wait and get one there that you can bring back here when/if you come back.

Buying a snake now, simply for 8 months, seems a little 'odd'.
