Herping

Hi my friend and i want to go herping for the first time this weekend,
but we have no idea were to go, so i was wondering if anyone can help me i live in the sutherland shire, also what is the best time to go i was thinking of going morning to around lunch time.

stanwel park or helensburg is a nice place.

If you go on the weekend, I recommend you get out early (7am), before other walkers scare the herps off the track. Most snakes are seen early or late on hot days, and dragons and monitors will be all you see in the middle.
