just woundering if my stimsons hide should be on the hot spot or the cool spot its currenly on the hot spot is this alright ??

In my 7 month old spotted I have 2 hides, 1 at cool other at warm she spends most of her time in cool end and when she is in the warm one its after a feed...

Just use an ice-cream container for one end. Now you have two hides!!!

Shouldn't have the heat on at night if you are attempting to breed do you mean?
Would depend upon the ambient temp and the species wouldn't it?

Put one at both ends even if you have to make one out of a small cardboard box in the interim.

2 hides because snakes like to hide and they self regulate their temperature.
If its too hot and there is no hide at the cool end its less likely that a snake will want to move to the cooler parts, but if there is a hide they will move.
But not every snake is the same, some dont even use the hides!
