ok thanks for your help im getting a custom enclosure built that will measur 800h,500w,500d will this be big enough for a juv carpet about 1foot long and at what size will it need a new enclosure

ye go coastal carpet, i have one and she is great and an ecnlosure the zize of that , it is 150cm high, 50cm deep and 110 cm long. would fit a coastal at full size, no probs

It all comes down to what you want to pay.
Just because old mate isn't in it to make maxium profit don't assume because they are cheap the quality is less. I'd be happy getting a good healthy snake for that price.
I sell mine for $150 when I have them available and childreni for $120, not in it for the profit, just to cover cost, inprove caging and get better quality species if I want. Do it for the love not the profit.
Just my opinion....... | A man true to my heart... It is much better to do something for love than to do it for profit. Why do so many people instantly think of how much they can make when buying reptiles - or anything else for that matter. Do you really thing GTP's would be as expensive as they are now if the people who own them sold them for the love of reptiles? I know some of you are going to jump on me and say there are risks buying and breeding expensive snakes. This is just my humble opinion.

i brought mine of brisbanes very own snake wrangler. and she is the best thing i ever brought. and only paid $150 i think. but he has the best snakes around

Price ca be different also because of location. Hatchies of coastal sell much cheaper in Queensland than in NSW.
I was selling last season my hatchies for $140. in Sydney.

im in queensland and im going to see a guy tomorrow that is sellng juv femal carpet for $140 a yearling male for $180, juv bredli for $350 and juv mac's for $180 so which do you all think would be a better choice for a first snake cheers
