In regards to temps for Woodies - too cool and they will basically stop eating and breeding - they slow down a lot. I keep mine between 25 and 30c and they thrive...some people just keep them on top of an enclosure so they get the radiant heat from the lamp...

Man Woodies seem so easy compared to Crickets! Might have to try it though just to see.

Miss B is on the ball regarding the crix.
I've been breeding both, only crickets since the years start. Crucial that plenty of ventilation be available for crickets and that they are kept up around 30deg to allow for steady growth. Fish food is another vital piece of diet that should be provided in my short experience- because of the high amounts of protein it contains.

Miss B has certainly given you a decent run down, but if you still need different views look up my thread "cricket breeding...it begins"- alot of people chipped in on this thread and its worked wonders for me so far.

I read just about every thread I could find on cricket breeding before I attempted it myself, including yours - I got loads of good tips from your thread, so thank you!! Checked the crix last night and we have a whole bunch of new babies, they're positively swarming the joint!
