| | | How long after a feed should my Snake Poo
As the title says how long after i have fed my snake should he poo.
I fed him 2 weeks ago tomorrow and still no poo.
is this normal??
Every other feed has been fine although they have been much smaller rats. he is now on very large rats so could that take longer than a medium rat?
TIA

My Diamond Python will hang on as long as she can if it means avoiding doing it in her enclosure.
Generally, I'll take her outside a week to 10 days after eating a large rat. Of course, this also means that I have to be careful that she doesn't take advantage of when she's out of her enclosure but inside the house.
If yours isn't due for a shed, try taking it outside, if you can. I usually just sit down with a book and she's usually done within 20 minutes or so.

Mine are also house trained.
Generally go after a bit of activity outside.
As ppl have already said they will in their own time usually..don't worry.

Just a thought also, what temp do you have him at? As if your temp is too low it may be taking too long to digest which can cause problems. Mine poo 3 - 4 days max after a feed.

all my snakes take between four and seven days. they're all different ages and species, so i'm guessing thats a general time frame. i keep 'em nice and warm which keeps their innards pumping and my rodent supply dwindling
cheers

If you are worried put him into a luke warm bath and the stimulation of swimming should help him out.
