how long can a childreni's go without feeding?

hiya guys and gals,

how long can a childreni go between feeds. Mine seems to have no interest, the tank heating seems ok, when i pick him up he doesnt snap so I'm guessing he's not stressed.

I've tried to feed him 3 times over the past week, but noting. I even did the poke the fuzzie in the brain thing (which by the way is gross) but nothing. he hasn't eaten in about 2 weeks.

Should I be worried ? He's a hatchie about 6mths old.

oh he shed lastweek all in one piece if that maens anything?

cheers,

Jase

I've got an add on to this post. Sorry jaser.

My Childreni has not had a crap for a month. He has'nt gone blue but he sure must be red in the face. Is there anything that can help him un-clog?

Yeah I think give them a bath in warm water (not hot) and I think that makes them relax their muscles? not sure though

Jasper, depending on the age and condition of the snake, it is possible to go 12 months+ without food. What is the temp in your cage?

Hatchlings can go months without a feed, and adults probably a year(as Mr Bredli said) but i dont think it will come to that.

Two things i would change, though. First i would get it out of the tank and into a small container with paper towel for it to go under. And second, i would try feeding less often. 3 times in a week is nagging, and you can turn a snake right off feeding by doing this. Try again in two weeks.

yeah I know, i am gonna leave it for another week or so.

the temp ranges from 23 to 30degrees.

I am thinking of getting a different tank where i can regulate the heat better. The place i live in gets freezing cold, so maybe that has something to do with it

my snake wouldnt feed. so i tried one of my pet mice cause the mother just had babies. and she went for it straight away...you just have to be careful and make sure she doesnt get hurt when feeding live to them...that might help... wb to let us know how it is going
