Ive read and heard loads of coflicting info on how often to feed insects.
Im feeding salad one day and insects the next, is this too often for the insects? Should I be feeding him more salad and less insects?
Thanks |

| | | | depends on how old the dragon in question is, if its still young, u can give them some crix almost everyday, but my adult only gets them twice a week. |

Babies need insects twice a day. Also offer salad so they will start experimenting with it but don't expect them to eat much of it. Babies run on instinct and chasing moving prey is what they are hard wired to do.
My adults only get insect 2x weekly but they get salad everyday.
So between the baby stage and adulthood, their needs begin to change and you can start reducing the number of insect feeds. Your food cost swill drop considerably.
Cheers
Jenny

adults should only get around 50 insects a week. |

Even during hot spells when adult dragons are more active (or at least their metablism is) I feed insects every day, as it cools off they get less.
