How to kill Borer ?

Can anyone tell me an easy way to kill borer ?
I have an enclosure that is an work in progress and a log that has been glued and screwed in place has a single borer hole under which I find a small patch of sawdust each day.
I tried holding a blowtorch to the hole for about 30 sec but the sawdust is there again today.
So any suggestions ?

Use a needle with some bleach or boiling water in it and inject down the hole, leave it for a while then flush it out and clean with water.

Probably is introduced. Poor Australia. *sigh* I've never heard of them.

I've tried the bleach as suggested by tan. I'll look for sawdust tomorrow and get something stronger if need be.
Thanks everyone
