How to u get them to brumate?

Okay.....My beardie WONT brumate...And everyone say he should be in it by now...How to I get him to brumate?

Hey Belle,
Lower the temp by a few deg. and shorten the day length to about 10-8 of light a day. Also, it is not completely necessary for them to brumate.

I am confoosed when you say he wont brumate.
If you are keeping him outside, he will do it naturally.
It also depends on where you are. The further south you live, the longer the brumation period.
It is imporatant not to feed him before brumation as undigested food can rot in the stomach.
You really should know all this stuff already...but at least you are asking now.
I have a copy of Keeping bearded dragons that I no longer use, you are welcome to it if it will help.It also has some good info on outdoor pits which may be of use to you.

i agree with greebs when he says that you should know this type of stuff before u purchace the vitti. i am not getting up u so please don't take it the wrong way but in the future it is best if you do all the research you can before you purchace ur reptile.
