Basically you don't need to - pretty much regardless of what you keep it's not necessary.

Really? people have told me to keep it between 40% and 60%, how do i keep it there without knowing the humidity? Or would this be a rough guide line?

they do need humidity, i don't know how they measure it but i'm pretty sure you can get a gauge for the reading. Just a large water bowl will keep the humidity at a reasonable level.

I think you can buy them from most pet shops and other places like the National Geographic shop.

Just have the water bowl down the cool end of the enclosure. Thats usually all it takes. You can move the bowl closer to the heat source when the snake is preparing to shed, but even then it's still usually not necessary. Be aware that misting too often MAY lead to scale rot/blister disease depending on the species.

Hiya,

When I ordered all my stuff from the Herp Shop...they sent me a couple of thermometers ....and two Hygrometers for measuring humidity ......you just place them into the enclosure and I believe from 50 to 70 is about moderate....I think if you where to really get into making it a perfect enviroment...each species of snake would be suited to different humidities...Snakes from tropical enviroments would have a higher humidity level to those from the desert.... IMO anyways...

Coastals are very tolerant of humidity variants, there is no need to worry about it too much. Keep it dry with a water bowl the snake can soak in for shedding and cooling and it will be happy.
