Import permit arriving after arrivees?

Faxed off 2 import permits alogn with credit card details for instant transaction when processed over a fortnight ago and the intended arrivees expected this weekend.
Now I put down the time frame from the 25th of April to the 25th of May, so when the license arrives would it have listed those dates despite arriving well beyond the 25th of april? and secondly have many people done this before without issue?
Licensing are taking their sweet time getting back to me so need to know if this is still flyable or if I need to contact the sellers to cancel shipping. Normally would do that to play safe bet but only going to be in Sydney this weekend, and no other way of getting them to Newcastle before the timeframe stated anyways.

Also is the permit number actually required in the transaction at airport from courier, as this also throws a cog in the works.

Legally they can not be sent until both the import and export permits have been issued. Phone DECC and they may be able to give you the import number over the phone in which case you're good to go. If they can't do that, oh well...

You do not need to provide a permit number at the airport to get the animals.Just get the animals as normal and when the permit comes in just use that date in your record book.

Nsw licencing are pathetic! in takes me 3 weeks to get my permits in.

I have done 3 import transactions this year and each one was dealt with in the week I faxed it to them.

They are really slow posting them out but in each case I have called them and someone has given me the number over the phone.

Last time (about 6 weeks ago) I got the animals before the permit had arrived, but I did have the IE number.

Call them\

Cheers

At least they are sending new books out quickly. I got mine in a week after sending off my old. They used their head and sent me a 30 page (since I sent them 3 smaller ones, what a pain to fill in) too, so I'm impressed with NPWS (at the moment).

Its not an issue of arriving in time but the money hasnt been taken out for them ie they've not even filed them.
I use a Visa debit card so it works like a normal credit but shows when money is taken out and i still have the $40 sitting there mocking me O.o

Give them a call and make sure they've received your application.
