Hey everybody
I'm just about to go out and buy all the equip i'm gonna need to build an incubator.
So far this is what I think i need.
1 eski
1 heat rope
1 thermostat
and egg containers etc.
Am i forgetting anything? and i wanted to know what equipment others use (as in brands, model numbers etc), I know how i should set one up and all just wanting to know the finer details.
Pics would be good to if you have them.

Egg containers not egg cartons, i was under the impression that you should keep your eggs in containers of two or three just incase of moulding etc. Am i wrong?

You may want a shelf in the incubator so you get some heat under the egg container. Try using one from an old fridge. Although if you're using an esky it may not fit.

2 sticks of pine 20mm by 20mm on the bottom sit your containers on that. thats enough to get heat under it
the b1s are good coz you just plug them into a power board and you can run a few eskys off the one thermostat

How can the one thermostat work on several incubators? does it have more than one probe?

no just one probe, but if there all the same size eskies and same watt heat cords in each then you only need to put the probe in one and just have thermomitors in all of them
