Just turn off their night time heating during the night from April. You can keep them together from then, or put the male in periodically over the next few months, say for 2-3 days every week. Obviously you need to ensure the female is in prime condition before you begin cooling. Once you're sure the female is gravid, return to heating 24/7 and remove the male. That's pretty much it. The articles on the Southern X website are very informative, check them out if you haven't already.
