Hi all, would like to get some opinions on what I should or shouldn't do. I have a 10mth old spotted python, I've had him/her for 4 days. (I have had a spotted before, for about 6 years and he was the best snake, no health or feeding problems ever! But it's been a couple of years now so I need some fresh advice.) Anyway, this youngster looks to me to be a bit on the underfed side, his skin seems loose, especially noticable when coiled up, he looks wrinkly and dry. The guy that sold him to me said he was about to shed and he 'had a full belly'. I fed him last night (fuzzie) and he took it from me with gusto but took what seemed liked ages to eat it. I am wondering a few things, should I offer him another fuzzie now (to put some condition on him, rather than wait a week), should I ring this guy and ask for my money back! or should I just be patient and see what happens (if he sheds etc) or is this perfectly normal and I'm just being paranoid I got a dud. I don't want him to die on me! P.S he looked fine when I bought him, nothing noticable anyway.

Im sure he will be fine.
Feed again in a few days, and offer him 2 or 3 if he will eat them.

Keep the water up to him, and fresh - they seem to like it fresh, also the humidity if looking dry and about to shed.

Thanks everyone for your help. Sounds like I should just chill. He has access to fresh water too. It's just been so long since I've had such a youngster I've forgotten what they do! Thanks again.
