My jungle still hasnt eaten, tried him again few days ago
he is due for a shed but the signs of him shedding are slim
other than that he is healthy i handle him every day

if i do need to take him to a vet, were is a herp vet near Coffs Harbour?

will it be allright if i take him to a normal vet??

him being active doesnt mean he isnt in winter mode

have you tried leaveing him in the heat box next to the heater for a little while and then feeding him in it

He may be stressed out from being handled a bit too much. Try only handling him every few days instead (i know, its hard!)
If he is still active, drinking water and hasn't lost any weight then he should be fine, just still in winter mode or coming up to a shed.
How long since he's last feed?

Hi there, like julie-anne mentioned just try & not handle him for say 4 days & then about half an hour before you try feeding him up the temps in the hot end slightly(1/2c)or if in aclick clack same deal just make sure he has warm/cool end & then offer him his prey. This seems to work for me with fussy feeders especially if coming out of winter  Good Luck & keep us posted

Cheers Kyro

If he seems to be growing he can't be going to badly, give him some more time. Maybe also try feeding him in a seperate tub that does the trick sometimes. Also what temps do you have him at?

Don't bother with a normal vet they are usually a waste of time.

how do u feed him ? dangle the food item infront of him ? & watch him eat ?

what i do with my juv jungle is feed her at night when its all dark. shes in a click clack & i just take her hide box out, & leave the mouse (dead frozen thawed of course) in the click clack with her. works everytime. jsut remember to check the next morning n throw the mouse out if its not eaten.

My stimmie hasn't fed for six months mate.. No need to panic yet especially if he still looks healthy.... Your jungle is probably still in winter mode!

Stop handling this python , it is obviously very stressed out ??
just leave it alone , no handling at all,
make sure it has warm spot is 33c at one of its cage and the cool end is 28c,
then just leave a thawed food item in the cage overnight, then check in the morning .
if the cage is in a area of your house where it is disturbed by lights at night .
cover the cage with dark towel so the jungle has total privacy at night time ,
its very important to do everything in your power to get your jungle feeding again and to follow advice given from these forums ,
try to remember that live animals are not toys to play with no matter how much you think your jungle enjoys being handled ? you are wrong ok, this is why the jungles is not feeding .
only once the young python is feeding for you every week for a few months should this python be handled a little at a time, but that is a long way off,
i hope all goes well

at night he is very active (nocturnal i know!) i tried feeding him than

everytime i move the mouse he goes over for a sniff but doesnt look interested to eat it

im gonna try again soon with towel, i have been thinking it's the cage he is in as it's new (even tho he has been in it for a month)

the tank is a 2 foot wide and a bit over 1 foot high, has a pole in it (sliconed on), a fake plant over it, a pot to hide in (he loves that!) a hide box in the heat and a water bowl.

i might post some pics of snake and tank soon ok?

dont stress, a month is nothing! i would worry about after 7-8 months. its just relaxing, handling it is fine. give it time and it will eventually feed. each snake is different.
