well i know it probably aint the best way but a mate of mine cant stand to watch something
die so he just gets a container with holes in it and a rock puts the container in a bucket of
water and puts the rock on top and walks away

as i said not the way i do things but still effective and pretty quick

CO2 is only good if you have a large ammount of rodents to kill just becuase it can be really expensive.
