|  | Subscriber | Join Date: May-05 Location: Windsor, NSW Age: 21 | | | Knob Tail - Changing Colour? I have a smooth knob-tail gecko. I bought 2 and as some might remember I had a thread on here when 1 got sick and died...
The 2nd (and nicely healthy) one has been doing well, she tends to burrow and I dont see her for a few days at a time (unless she is coming out when im not around during the night etc)
However, this morning she is out of her burrow (and was in her hide) and she has gone very pale in colour when normally she is quite a bit darker....
Is this something to worry about?

They do have the ability to alter their colour intensity though.

They just eat the shed so you often don't even realise.
Mine are much paler at night than during the day.

She has just shed - and yes...she is eating it!! it is quite gross watching... looked like she was just about to rip her foot off....
Perhaps this isnt the first time....
