Laws on moving Herps to other countries

Okay so I know you cannot bring outside reptiles into Australia but was wondering if I would be able to take my Olive Python - and possibly Bearded Dragon and Geckos - to Californa, USA with me? I am moving there in a year's time and was unsure what the policy is on this.

I would suggest contacting your wildlife people in Qld (epa?) and perhaps Customs. Also you would need to check customs at the other end as well.

As far as I know no reptiles can be imported or exported . The only people that are able to do that are zoos etc.

Yeah I was going to say they are commonly available anywhere and of course you have the choice of every other reptile in the world. Don't forget the photo's :-)

Makes no difference at all - it can't be done. Export of pet reptiles from Australia is not allowed under ANY circumstances. Don't even bother enquiring.

She may not want to but she will have to, as Jamie says it isn't even worth the phone call as it wont happen under any circumstances.

Okay, okay guys. I only needed one answer. It was a simple question and now I know I can't move.

Because I only just found out yesterday I was moving, it's not even for certain yet. Pretty much a hypothetical situation that has a 90% chance of not happening. My mother likes to get my hopes up for alot of things.
