All it seems to do is find its scent then very lazily approach it then open its mouth and then begin eating it. There is no lunge not even a strangulation just a "straight to eating" snake. |

Probably if you jiggled it about you might get a feistier response. Yay atleast it's eating!

My BHPs sometimes do the same thing. |

Probably only a few generations from seeing vegetarian snakes LOL.
Sorry really bad day.

Anthony88, it's good that your snake feeds this way. You've less chance of being bitten during feeding. Some of my snakes are lazy eaters. It's a blessing. Surely there's more things appealing about a snake than watching it strike it's prey hard?

I guess maybe its gotten used to the way it gets feed and knows it doesn't need to attack to eat |

But I just fed her now and she hardly even looked at it (I thought she would refuse) and then just started eating, not even holding on to stop it moving away. Half way down...

| | | | My Blonde would do the same thing until one day he was sitting in my hand and I put him near the pinkie and he lunged at it and scared the crap out of me.
Now he pretty much does it all the time, it's an interesting feeling having them on your hand and then feeling them lunge, I gave up on the idea as I can see him one day missing and coming back to think my hand is food. |
